sustainability
smoosh uses fully recyclable glass bottles, for all its products. these opaque bottles also protect our precious formulas from light and heat.
at smoosh the only big impact we want to have is on your skin. we use Hero bubble mailers for our shipping as they are fully compostable. made from 70-80% PBAT (a co-polymer that is completely compostable) and 20-30% PLA (cornstarch). they take around 150 days to break down in your home compost (to speed things up you can tear the layers apart) and around 120 in a commercial compostable environment.
our ingredients
as mother nature is our source, at times, there may be slight changes in aromas from batch to batch. the quality of our oils is paramount, therefore, we use a mix of certified organic and natural plant oils. all our formulas are free from synthetic fragrance, synthetic colour, essentials oils, preservatives, phthalates, glycols, sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, silicones, PEGS, TEA, DEA. the aromas of smoosh products are unadulterated natural plant oils.
the smoosh story
The idea to create smoosh came after having my third baby. I’d loved using face oils for decades, however, after developing rosacea I could no longer use my beautiful face oil blends as the essential oils were flaring my skin. I wanted a selection of luxurious, therapeutic, organic face oil blends that suited sensitive skin and provided visible results for all different types of skin concerns. Of course bringing on glowy, healthy and smooshable skin was the other non-negotiable!
I have spent over two decades experimenting with plant based oils and skincare and am passionate about their ability to nurture, heal and bring about beautiful healthy skin. Every smoosh formula is brimming with a potent, and thoughtful blend of the finest natural and certified organic plant and fruit oils. Each has been tested on and made with sensitive skin in mind.
